Have you tried seed cycling to regulate your cycle?

I have been talking a lot about the importance of a healthy mind-body while trying to conceive.

And educating you about how you can use mindfulness, self acupressure, yoga and nutrition to optimize your fertile health naturally.

There truly are many ways to regulate your menstrual cycle, your hormones and to optimize your fertility at any age.
 
Today I am going to introduce you to a research-proven protocol which, if practiced regularly, will have a profound influence on your menstrual cycle.

Nutrition: Seed Cycling

Seed cycling works to benefit the regularity and health of your cycle by supporting hormone production, binding and metabolism.

Different seeds contain different types and amounts of lignans and essential fatty acids.

Lignans help your body bind up excess hormones (such as excess estrogens), whereas fatty acids help with your hormone production.

Together they work on balancing hormones throughout the entire menstrual cycle.

If you are experiencing:

    •    Cycles less than 26 days or more than 35 days
    •    Excessive PMS
    •    Delayed or no ovulation
    •    Many clots in your flow
    •    Dark flow
    •    Painful periods
    •    Very heavy or very light flow
    •    Spotting before your period and/or mid-cycle

seed cycling can help.

It’s best to have flax and pumpkin seeds during the follicular phase (1st full day of menstrual flow through until ovulation) of your menstrual cycle and sesame and sunflower seeds during the luteal phase (ovulation until 1st full day of menstrual flow).

Flax and sesame seeds are full of lignans, which block excess estrogens.

Sunflower seeds are high in selenium, a trace mineral that is essential for liver detoxification.

Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, which supports progesterone release.

Together, these seeds will balance your cycle when taken in the appropriate phase.

Monthly Seed Rotation Plan:

• Day 1 – 14 (Follicular Phase): 1 Tbsp freshly ground flax seeds and pumpkin seeds daily
• Day 15-menses (Luteal Phase): 1 Tbsp freshly ground sunflower and sesame seeds daily.

It usually takes about 3 months before you will start noticing the improvement in your menstrual related symptoms.
